Book A Workshop
SLCC WaterKids is available (for FREE!) for groups of WaterGirls and WaterBoys including, Girl/Boy Scout Troops, K-12 Classes, After School Programs, Library Programs, and more. Depending on your time constraint and needs, we have multiple options (see below) including, a 30-60 minute presentation, a 60-90 minute interactive workshop, or a 90-120 minute (or more) interactive workshop or field trip. WaterKids Workshops are free for you, but at this time we, unfortunately, are not able to provide transportation to/from workshop locations.

30-60 min Presentation
If you only have a short amount of time available, Dr. Hahnenberger or one of her colleagues can come and give a presentation on her path into science, and teach some of the basics of water and weather science.

60-90 min WorkshopIn this interactive workshop WaterKids will get the opportunity to use water quality and weather instruments as well as collect, share, and analyze data. We'll delve into the importance of water and weather on our lives.

90-120 minute (or more) Workshop/Field Trip
With more time WaterKids will really have the opportunity to BE SCIENTISTS! We will collect data, complete analyses, and think about the implications of our results. If time and location allows we will get out into the field to measure water and weather in real natural settings.
